Hey guys,

I see there are already a few threads with a very similar question but with different circumstances so I figured I start a new one. I've just recently graduated and have a small sum of money I would like to invest. I'm okay with taking risks and think a 5 year plan is probably want I'm most inclined towards. Do you have any advice/suggestions? I've spoken to a few people and I'm leaning towards Coronation's Market Plus fund or the Nedbank Rainmaker fund.

I still have my honours year to complete and have no debt ATM.

Do you wish to be able to withdraw this money within a few days or you not going to touch them?

Why not look at Coronation's Balanced Plus Fund? Very similar performance and composition but flat fee. Coronation Market Plus Fund can have up to a 3% performance fee.

Yeah that was the other one I was keen on, my "financial adviser" friend also suggested it. Although he is CMA

Why not invest in a retirement fund (this includes all the balanced funds)? It's never too early and the more you get in there earlier the better.

Garson007, I plan to do that on the side with payments from this year onward, separate to the money I want to invest now.

I would recommend ETFSs. Specifically the SatrixIndi and DBXUS and DBXEU. Very low cost and you can invest as little as R300 per month.
