Grand Theft Auto trilogy coming to Netflix Games

Netflix Inc. plans to offer three updated versions of the Grand Theft Auto video games on its mobile platform next month, bolstering its lineup with one of the best-selling titles of all time.

Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas will launch on Dec. 14, the company said Wednesday on social media.

But you need a netflix (game) subscription in order to play them I guess, or can you just buy the game off of the play store?

Piggybacking off the upcoming GTA 6 trailer perhaps?

Another opportunity to make money off these games

Yeah I did open the link, but I still don't know if that's as a once off pay to download and play app, or if you download the app from the play store and then have to sign in with your netflix account details (and monthly subscription) in order to play it. Like there's a netflix app on the play store, but you can't just download it and watch netflix, you have to still also pay the subscription. That's all i meant.

Edit: thanks to FiestaST, yes "available exclusively for netflix members".

how exactly do you play this with a remote control for a TV?
bet you if you played the PC version and then tried this it will suck!

Maybe Wii remote style.

I hate the Wii remote.
does the wii remote work for Netflix? probably not,
all you have a a stupid D pad and not much else,

you telling me people will play heavily adapted games on their TV remotes?
sure maybe GTA 1 the top down version maybe, but this?

No, I mean turn your TV remote sideways maybe.

Did a quick check, seems phones and tablets only

^^^ thats a very stupid idea then, as you could already buy those games on the native app store,

so whats the point of this then?

just another cash grab, by people who dont know any better?
