Hi.
I need to buy a graphics card with 3 outputs, as I have 3 screens. I am not a gamer and at the most I do a little bit of photo & even less video editing. In other words, almost normal office use.
I can get this 2GB card for about R900 and is fan-cooled:

I can also get this one for a little bit more, also fan-cooled:

And then I can get this one which is without a fan:

Will appreciate your comments and recommendations.

The GT710 is basically well, lets say it really just pushes out a signal, it's really bad at pretty much everything

Am I seeing right, GDDR3? Geez.

Anyway normally I'd say obviously go for the GDDR5 card but considering what you would like to use it for, it would make no difference, either way you'll be satisfied.

Get the silent one, the card won't get hot with your use case and if it does it'll just throttle to keep things nice and safe.

Then maybe the suggestion that's gonna irritate you: Do you really need 3 monitors? You can go two and get a better card. The GT 710 is almost 5 years old already.

The GT710 is based off of Nvidia's Kepler architecture from 2012, that card was terrible when it was released and it's even worse now. Pretty much any modern integrated graphics solution destroys it.

I seriously recommend you look at the second hand market for an older card, pretty much anything modern is better, carbonite.co.za.

Thanks for your reply.
Where can I look to buy second hand? Do you have something specific to recommend? My budfget is around R1 300.

You need to provide info about the screens. Else we may tell you to buy a gpu with 3 x DP

At R1300 you would need to look at a used card.

We need info about your computer as well.

Go look at carbonite, some decent cards for R1300, the GT710 really is a bad card.

Yeah the GT710 is really crap card, you will be better off buying a 1030/1050/ RX 460 / RX 480 2nd hand for a few bucks more for 100000 times the performance, I think I have seen them floating about for just between 1k and 1.5k or so.
