As of Friday, the cheapest RTX 3090 Ti you could buy on Evetech cost R44,999, while Wootware charged R49,699 for the same model Newegg was selling.

Quite recently Wootware had a 3090 Ti for R24k. A Galax if I recall. Stock comes and goes constantly.

The rumours of a considerable jump in performance between the 30 and 40 Series make me hesitant to buy anything now.

Rumor has it the 4070 will likely get close to the 3090, so it will be priced similarly to the current market price for the 3090.

Nvidia has so much stock of 3000 series that was meant to go to miners, they will have to sell both at the same time for many months to come.

They will likely have the following product line, with a price tier bump in-between each.

3050 ti
3060
3060 ti
3070
3070 ti
3080
3080ti
4070(ti?)
3090
3090 ti
4080 (ti?)
4090

I just hope people buy second hand and give Nvidia the middle finger for what they have done to GPU pricing over the last 36 months.

Yes, there's practically no point in buying a 3000 series card right now, unless for professional reasons or going for the cheaper options due to lack of patience.
