errr, he was in the 90s
and he is still playing! made 180 the other day, he would get my nomination for team sports player.

imho I would put Roger Federer for individual player, he really took tennis to another extreme, in his worst year he walked away with 2 grandslams?:p

well serena is the best female Tennis player since Martina Narvatilova but roger should take it.

It has to be Lance. Completing 7 consecutive Tour de France races is a massive accomplishment in itself. Add to that winning every one of them, recovering from cancer and lastly beating various athletes who cheated with performance enhancing drugs.....

Not to mention returning from retirement at the age of 38 and finishing 3rd

While Woods , Schumacher and Federer are the best ever in their respective sports you can't honestly compare it to Lance's achievement surely

Not many dads are rushing out to buy their kid a bike so that they can ride like Lance.
Quite a few dads are getting their kids a set of clubs.

Michael Schumacher has my vote.
He dominated F1 and was almost unbeatable during the last decade.
