Once encountered a health nut ranting and raving about the evils of caffeine, and how he switched to green tea to avoid its perils. Had no response when I pointed out that green tea also contains caffeine.Uhm, compare Green Tea to Rooibos tea and you will see that Rooibos has almost all of the benefits and it doesn't contain caffeine. I would just stick to that, tastes better.
What's that in mugs of filter coffee? As with everything moderation and balance is important - coffee if also packed with anti-oxidants and caffeine in the right amounts (no more than 3 cups per day - one teaspoon per cup)

But tea also contains other stimulants.Whilst tea does contain caffeine, the quantity in a standard teabag is roughly half the amount in a mug of coffee.
Everyone keeps saying that like it's something in the pro column.Rather use Rooibos, much more anti-oxidants and no caffeine.
