Yip,

Looking at the Data, it actually seems that our CO2 contributions are saving us from the next ice age. Love when she said: "What happens if we stop all CO2 and then earth runs into an Ice age, are we going to be ordered to force more CO2 into the air?"

Obviously not, since we can't be taxed then can we? :D

So sad.

See, this is the thing, some say that it is a bad thing putting all this C02 into the atmosphere, then others say it actually isn't, and many other claims from both sides. Basically, I am not convinced enough to say that things should change, eg. less C02 or whatever the latest fashion is.

Believe in it if you want, or don't, whatever, just do not try to convince me either way.

But ofc you would disagree...

If you have any knowledge of how diagrams and graphs work, then it would be pretty straight forward to see what she was saying. She even mentions what you are refering to. But this just proves that you didn't even bother to read that piece now did you?

I did read her piece. Why don't you explain it to me if I'm so dumb?

Climate is a dynamical system. Meaning it has an element of chaos and unpredictability. It's sure that we're driving the planet hotter. What people don't realize is we're driving it to higher levels of instability.

not if we stick our fingers in our ears and chant "it's not really happening, my actions don't impact the environment"

The question is... what is causing the warming? Is it natural or is it man made. I believe it is a natural cyclical phenomena.
Sure, let's do what we can to minimise our own impact, but don't go all gung ho blaming people who are not actually the cause of this.

When it comes to "scientific studies" you will find those on both sides of the argument... so arguing about it here is a pointless waste of time.
We've done it all before... several times already.

I also believe it's natural but we are contributing to it if you look at CO2 levels over the different cycles.

Sure, there is no doubt we are contributing to it. That cannot be denied.
But is our contribution significant enough to make an actual change in the natural cyclical cycle?
I don't think it is.

We are like ants in a garden on the surface of this planet. Enough to make some anthills and generate some heat in a few areas, but hardly enough to change the entire garden into a desert.

No, idea. Our descendants will probably come up with an answer for that one.

There is an answer for that - The radiative forcing from a doubling of CO2 is 3.7 Watts per square metre (W/m2) (IPCC AR4 Section 2.3.1).
