Any advice will be appreciated ... We've moved to Port Elizabeth and had to leave our Mecer 1.5kW and Solar Gel Batteries in Gauteng ... I'm looking to by a Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P Hybrid Inverter with a Hubble 5.5kWH Wall mount Lithium Battery ... with eventually Solar Panels.
Our house runs on:
- A 200L Solar Geyser, tied to Utility Power and that will NOT change ... don't want to run it on the Inverter / Battery
- Gas Stove, Electric Oven will stay on Utility Power, will NOT change ... don't want to run it on the Inverter / Battery
- Normal appliances ... Fidge / Freezer, TV, Fibre, Alarm, Energy Saver down lights, Garage Door, Laptop, Printer, .85kW Water Pump for Water Tanks ... Nothing absorbent
- Kettle, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing Machine can be managed on Utility Power, don't want to run it on the Inverter / Battery
Question: Can I run the house permanently as above WITHOUT the Geyser, Kettle, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing Machine from the Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P Hybrid Inverter with a Hubble 5.5kWH Wall mount Lithium Battery ... charged primary by Solar, automatically switch to Utility if power in battery is too low ... this will then serve as the main power in load shedding also? I don't want to charge the battery with Utility Power if really not needed ...
Appreciate feedback!
