So ja, been a rough year.
Deaths in the close family, being retrenched, but found work quickly.

Now however it's becoming a bit much.
The usual; of blocking things out till I get blinded drunk isn't working anymore.
The added stress of my new job is also conflicting with my daily life and it's affecting my health.

So I need to push aside my ego and start speaking with a trained professional.
Usually I'd diagnose myself and work around stuff, but even though I know what to do, I'm not taking things head on, but rather avoiding them.

So I don't want my career screwed or my relationship.

Any recommendations from personal experience?
Googling has me slightly lost.

What are the costs associated with it?
I can't afford to go broke ;) :p

You're welcome to PM me if you're not wanting to discuss in the open.

Thanks

Thanks. My GP also gave me a recommendation. Going to look into all of them. Appreciated.

check with your medical aid. they usually cover a set amount of sessions. or if your company has an employee well being program. utilize it.

my dad died suddenly over a year ago and it was a pretty shyte time. still is some days. talking helps. so sterkte and I hope you feel better. well done on tackling it.

go for counselling or a group session. when you have a death in the family that in itself is enough to drive you over the edge. take some tablets if you have to for a short period of time till you over the initial shock of both the death and retrenchment. alcohol is not the answer.

dont feel too alone s&b.

i came to the conclusion earlier today, after putting on a brave face for the last week, that i may need a but of unravelling myself.
as some here may be aware, someone jumped from the roof of an 8 floor building.
the bang when he hit the ground was horrific. i was the 1st person to get to the guy.

there was a loud bang outside my office earlier - i nearly crapped myself, my heart was racing (loud & sudden bangs have never had any effect on my before) & suddenly my mind went back to that moment a week back

so yea, sometimes we have to brush aside the ego & brave face & look for some help
