Grocery delivery service showdown

PicknPay's app is absolutely GARBAGE. Most of the time tracking does not work. It's incredibly slow. The select alternatives if an item isn't in stock function almost never works as well. And there are much less discounts compared to Checkers, where I think all the in store discounts are available on the app as well. And you can't select a specific time for delivery like with Sixty60.

I would never recommend pnp app to anybody, when I placed an order, I received the wrong item. It took about 2 weeks for the issue to be resolved. Their customer service is non existant. I made numerous phone calls, with very limited feedback/response.

Came here to say this. So many complaints about the PnP app on the Google store has told me to wait until other people have worked out the bugs for me.

I am unable to use PnP, because I am unable to receive the activation SMS. The is the only sms I am unable to receive, so ASAP\PnP says it is me and I must use a relative's number to register for ASAP.

Yup, that's the other thing. Their customer service is often shocking!

Only reason I still use them is that they continously send me free delivery coupons, which is useful when I need only a few items.

I've tried most. Had good experiences with pnp and woolies delivery service for planned orders - i.e. I ordered a few items for delivery 1 or 2 days later. Checkers sixty60 is the best for urgent things. Woolies Dash is useless, it's supposed to compete with checkers sixty60 but whenever I try to use it, the slots for the day are full.

I can’t use ASAP because I forgot my password (presumably my password from the old days of Bottles) and neither the software nor the humans can fix it.

Do you get Smart Shopper and Vitality HealthyFood points for using ASAP? If so, maybe I'll try their customer support again.

Oh good... so it's not just me. Gave up with pnp. The only reason they retain me as a customer is for their All Grain branded eggs which are fantastic quality

Sixty60 has stopped their service in the area so I've had to use pick and pay. Prefer sixty60. You cannot choose a time for delivery with pick and pay app. Of the three times I ordered, 2 times I could not choose an alternate product for a product that was out of stock. The app sends messages hours after delivery that your order is on the way. Sixty60 delivery was much quicker than pick and pay.

Yeah I've had ASAP and six60 arrive at the same time, but I've never had ASAP beat six 60
Also ASAP item limit is 30 as w

Grocery delivery service showdown

MyBroadband tested delivery from Checkers and Pick n Pay’s smartphone apps and found Pick n Pay asap! to be cheaper and faster than Checkers Sixty60.
I will not comment on pricing...but asap faster??? Hard to believe. I even deleted their app cause I always had issues with my delivery. Their drivers are disrespectful like ubereats drivers. Asap always took 2hours + to deliver. 60Sixty drivers I believe they are well trained, as I've never experienced any ubereats tendencies. I also think 60Sixty is faster cause Checkers "controls" logistics- their drivers have their own parking at malls, never seen this for asap. Then there's the recycling bit added bonus, not sure if drivers do really take the bags back to the store when I give them the old ones. Used to struggle with unavailable items in the beginning with 60Sixty but now I get 95%+ of items. Customer care using Twitter was very effective- I had an issue with my Xtra savings cards and everything was solved through Twitter conversation. Response time was between 30-1hour. I now also benefit for such savings, which maybe can make Checkers cheaper? Not sure though.

Asap beats checkers any day... Firstly.. Checkers app doesn't work on some phones whilst asap does... Checkers app support is terrible... Yes asap delivery takes a bit longer but at least it works... Only issue I have with ASAP is that you get bread and milk that is about to expire, but advantage is you can choose the quantity or sizes you would like to order whereas Checkers restricts the sizes of items you order.

ASAP also restricts the amount, they are both pretty similar, they both only allow up 30 items, they both have off days on support I'm still waiting on ASAP to send an energy drink they didn't send.

Is there any way to change stores on the 60sixty app? I have about 3 within 5km of me but the one I order from seems very limited in items being stocked.

All this is good if you have both pnp and checkers store in your neighbourhood, a lot of products that I needed Pnp does not have and it is nowhere in my neighbourhood, but checkers has all the products of my basket and it is not in my neighbourhood, but close enough for a delivery, I prefer sixty60 more for convenience than for pricing.Maybe if I was living closer to an ASAP delivery store I would try them.

I've got both, I even attempted woolies once, but the 2 day wait was like wtf. I mean the butcher delivers, hell even a place called econofoods delivers in a day, but nope woolies which is closer then both Checkers and PnP takes 2 days??
