This is a problem, your batteries are out of balance, all voltages should be equal. You need to parallel them together for 24 hours to make one big 12V battery and charge with 12V charger.
Wouldnt the equalisation function @TheChamp mentions in post #9 not accomplish the same thing?

I know that once enabled on the inverter (which schedules equalisation "sessions") one can force it to run manually.

Now how do we explan the screen of the battery arrow up that's not in the manual?

I think something is malfunctioning because it is talking about solar in the pic attached, that could be why it's drawing from the battery.

In theory yes, but I think the highest battery would get fried in the process as the inverter only sees total voltage of the bank.

So when you equalise at 60V, all batteries should equal 15V for equalisation, not bat 1 @ 17V, bat 2 @ 14V, bat 3 @ 13.5V, bat 4 @ 15.5V which still equals 60V.

So equalisation should be done on an already balanced pack as maintenance to keep it in check imho.

Makes sense. Would be fine for small corrections, but not for major swings in voltages across each unit in the series.

yes as I’m watching screen now its continually jumping between charging the batteries and supplying the load…if arrow stay for a few seconds longer on battery charge the battery actually indicate it is being charged with one cell empty… then suddenly stop and arrow shows supplying load and so it goes…

I would stop everything and parallel/balance/charge/24 hours immediately as you're just damaging the batteries more and more. We can re-evaluate this problem after the no.1 problem is solved.

Post a photograph of your batteries, the cable connections between them, and the cables to your inverter.

Very nice! This is what it's supposed to look like. Not like that other setup where the guy was using string and coat hangers to connect his batteries together.

edit: are the terminals tight?

You will need more cables to do parallel maintenance.

yes I’m removing today to put in parallel and charge 12v

I have decided to opt for the Pylontech US3000C and save myself any further stress with the Royals.
The single battery easily takes my required 600watt load through load-shedding with many more watt to spare One question, is it normal method of operation for the Poly to charge & discharge between 95 & 100%

Thanks
