I want the game but I dont have a connection at home. I have to buy it and get the crack from someone to bypass the DRM check. Cant do it from work cause all those sites are blocked. Help.....

And yes, I always buy original.

Now I'm convinced that their is a conspiracy to kill off the PC gaming market.

I bought the game, have a connection at home and still want to crack it. My word, took me 15 to 30 mins to register everything online, and now the game crashes because the servers are overloaded. So I launch the game in off-line mode, loads fine...but to save your game you need to log in...which crashes the game due to the overloaded servers. And they complain that people pirate games...

Follow the procedure from home when you get the game, it will give you the "request" code and link where to enter the request code and and. Then PM me the details and I'll do an offline activation for you and upload the needed files for you.

In any case, on my first run I was hit with a "GTA IV Fatal Error MMA10". I logged out of the Social Club, started fine :D

The view is just a bit different from previous GTAs, other than that it is running fine for now

The game set my texture quality on medium - looks awesome and runs smooth for now. Will pump the Vehicle Density up sometime.

It does not support SLI as of yet. Forget about running this game at full for now. How much memory does those cards have?

That's just rubbish ..... someone should sue them for assuming the whole world is online 24/7  Now I'm doubly glad that I rather got the console version.

Lucky you. They should be sued for not stating that an internet connection is required for normal play. They say it's required for activation and online play (which requires windows live) but nothing about offline play. Frackers.

It is not required for off-line play at all. I just loaded a game and saved with my network cable plugged out. When the game is starting up, hit the HOME button. Then "sign in" with your user. It'll tell you that there is no connection, but you can still load and save your games now. Only thing that will not work, is your gamertag "achievements" might not be logged. Not sure how that will work.

Are you sure a constant connection is required to just play the game normally. Oh well, Ill just wait for a good crack to come out then get it.

ld13 - thanks for the offer dude but Im just going to wait to crack it and not have any problems.

Sometimes I just want to buy a console to forget about these problems, then I think of the game pad and already start missing my keyboard and mouse and rubbish those evil thoughts. One day though, I will give in.

I got my copy but...

I am on my third attempt installing this disaster. I have created a Rockstart scoial club acc but when it tried to link to Windows live something went wrong. So i started again but when the installation it did not prompt me to link Rockstart social to windows live or anything. I managed to get Rockstart social club to work but it tells I cannot login as I am not connected to the internet but I am and the game activated through this very connection. So i tried to play in offline mode but the games crashes reporting a fatal error.

I am so frusutrated by this experience, I have spent the last 3 hour trying to get the game to run.

Anyone had this problem?
