Nice news but I've got a hunch that South African Xbox owners won't be able to download it due to it's age restriction.

I believe so, the game does have an 18 age restriction

AFAIK it's to do with the fact that South Africa falls in the black hole that sucks up any of the many countries that Live! doesn't officially support. In this black hole, Microsoft have taken the safe road by blocking all 18+ restricted content just in case they upset local censorship laws.
