Hi all,

Looking for opinions as to whether the RTX2060 is worth what seems to be 3K price difference on a gaming laptop?

Considering laptops are only at 1080p, I've seen mixed reviews and of course, it depends on what games one wants to play.

Apologies as this is probably an unhelpful question given the multitude of factors about any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Turns out the 2060 is 13% faster. On a R20k 1660ti machine...R3k works out to 15% increase. You get what you pay for. Budget conscious, 1660ti, performance conscious 2060.

Right now I'm much more interested in DLSS 2.0 than RTX. I think it could change the performance scale of GPUs. Mid-tier cards like 2060 could run games in 4k.

I had to make the same decision earlier in the year. I decided that it wasn't worth paying extra for the 2060. Don't know if that helps at all.

Lol...I also went with the GTX 1660ti. Spent additional money on larger SSD and more memory.
