Again what is success to these CIA conspirators? You conflate a successful kill to a successful assassination. Those are two wholly different things.

In years to come psychologist will study TDS, but I don't think there's any hope in understanding why people who should know better become this stupid. It will remain one of life's great mysteries.

Trump was so far ahead already, why would they need to stage or plan something like this. It was 100% a real attempt on his life.

The Nicky Hailey angle is a red herring and also mere conjecture. In fact given how she's been painted by the MAGA crowd would never win an emergency selection in any case, a conspiracy to get her into a position would be stupid. The only outcome of a dead Trump is that Jr. Gets the sympathetic support from Trumpites and landslides over everyone else.

I don't think the CIA and the think tanks are that stupid. If they wanted to get rid of Trump they'd do it through a health issue, he's old and unhealthy enough for that to seem a plausible cover.
