Gw + Gprs ?

Greetings

Anyone here playing GW on GPRS? must i use the vpn one?

Main reason is i get the login screen & enter u/p, then it kinda crashes but music still playing and it downloads like crazy.

THe game is up-to-date cause i played it all weekend on dsl, my first time on gprs..

i know of a couple of people who play on GPRS but they had to copy the GW.DAT file from myself in order to get most of the updates.

in your case, try leaving GW at the login screen for a while until there the lightning cursor on the top right is gone.

I have played GW on GPRS on the same laptop I normally play when using ADSL, but of course when not at home.
I havent had any such issues. It works pretty well IMO.
Depending on where you are and what your doing (busy towns=more KB, missions=less KB), bandwidth consumption is pretty low, 1-2MB per hour.

I can actually confirm that Napier should not be a problem, nor Arniston and surrounds.

you should change your speed. By right clicking on the internet icon say status then go to properties then there wil be a list of modems click on the 1 you use then click properties. Change your speed then.

This change won't influence the speed you are getting from your provider though.
Depending on your connection method to your laptop / pc, this quite often is only the local loop connection.
