I'm curious about this hackintosh.

I have a functioning hard drive I've just pulled from a damaged macbook . Would it be a complicated process if I wanted to boot from it using a hackintosh?

It's 10.6.2.

I think it is gonna be a LOT harder getting an existing OSX installation going than formatting and installing with a bootloader from scratch. It is quite a unique situation imo.

You could easily. Just install Chameleon & the necessary kexts etc for your hardware. Myhack installer can do this. However then it won't boot on a real Mac, only a PC.

There are other ways of copying your user profile and data over completely transparently though, but this is potentially a very nice idea. You just have to be sure that your PC can boot OS X and what is needed.
