For it to be truely South African, the movie must depict some or other tragic past history of our country. Most likely apartheid, or the Sowetan Uprising. And we wonder why none of our movies are ever noticed.

Sorry BC that came out a bit ambiguously. I agree 90%+ of SA movies and TV suck badly. The only thing I can tolerate in small doses is "sorted".
