yip, 7900gt is the best buy imaginable for price vs preformance. Loving every minute of mine.

I got 2 :p still boxed did not yet decide what SLI MotherFcuckerB to accompany it with. What you got? R u going to Vmod and OC or just use standard!

For me @t the moment the Asus AP5N32 SLI and 930 P4 looks enticing! Performance for cost. The ram for the board is spec 667 and the later boards non SLI is spec DDR 800 with 1066 FSB (Non SLI). We are at a crossover point to better technology and I am contemplating to maybe hang in for month or two too get one of the New spec monsters like AMD AM2 or Intel true Dual versions, It a lot of $ and to buy now and be outdated in August would be heart breaking!

Which VGA card You have? Give some specs of the rig!

@ PUPA you have a PM.
I have not really had any temp issues, its at about 45' underload.
Had artifacting once or twice but it seems to be fixed with new drivers.

Nope feel the ic's as shown front and back with heavy load benchmark. Just to be sure!

holy crap that dont sound good. is this gtx as wel as the gt.

anyway so far so good. i installed it on sterday night. i played oblivian yesterday and it COOL. looks great. gonna try fear and quake4 to test the graphics....then run 3dmark05 to see my scores.....i dont know about 3dmark06 though. but willl let you guys know how it goes;)

did not run 3dmark but i played oblivian and something is wrong... the when i load my saved game and i turn in the game the image have these black spikes all over and later i cant see anything. does anybody have a idea what to do...here is my specs:

gigabyte AMD Athlon64 motherboard onboard sound(7.1 suround realtek)
AMD Athlon64 3000+
2X 512mb 400ddr ram(in daul)
XFX geforce 7900gt
400W psu
17" samsung
2x 80gb seagyte ata
1x 200gb seagyte sata
samsung dvd/cd-rw combo
standard keyboard and mouse

what drivers are you running?

is your card overclocked?

what was your previous card prior to the 7900GT you had?

tried a re-install of Oblivion?

do other games show similar graphical anomalies?

wow ok my card is factory overclocked and i used the drivers i got with the card. ill try new divers,
had a ati x700pro

did not try other games osf yet...will see tonight;)
