Hard-coding dsl-300t

Hi everyone,

I currently have a D-Link DSL-300T modem and a 3gb Cybersmart account. I was wandering if anyone knew if it was possible to hard-code it with my account details?

Thats a rather careless thing to do. I wouldnt suggest it and dont think its possible anyway.

Closest thing to hard-coding i can think of is entering your user/pass and then ask it to save your config, somewhere in system i think. That way when the power on your modem resets, you don't loose your account details, and it automatically reconnects.

This is not a router, it's a modem (i own one) :>. If the power on this modem is reset, you loose your previous setting. This particular modem doesn't save your account details unless you ask it to in the system config somewhere. I think there's another way to hard-code the account details into the modems OS, but i'll work on that some other time.

LOL. It has an administrative web interface, it will save ur login details or use windows BB dial up.

Yes, in bridge mode you can use windows BB dialup, but in PPPoE mode, if you enter your details using the web interface and click apply, it saves your account settings. If you disconnect the power from the modem and connect it again, those account settings are lost. In order to save those account settings permanently, you have to enter your details, click apply, then go to Tools -> System -> Save and Reboot.

The same applies to Mecer routers. IMO its standard practice to save and reboot. Netgear FTW.
