Has lockdown killed your car's battery?

Both our cars had new batteries before the lockdown (Fun time of the year when both cars need it done at roughly the same time ). Both of them needed help starting before level 3 started and we could justify driving them to the beach every day for our exercise.

Fortunately my little car is parked on a slight slop, so I always have a gravity assisted bump start ready to go.

Stop wasting you time and effort to save R100, it's not worth it, just call a few battery places closer to you and take the best quote.

I think mine died of old age though standing around and only being driven once or twice a month probably didn't help. 5.5 years old and it died in September.

Edit: AA dude had to come and replace it on the spot where I was parked at Kingsbury Hospital.
Edit2: New battery was a 652 PS for R1800.

Startmycar - recently bought a battery from them and they delivered it to my house. Was well priced. Their customer support was great. Can’t complain.

Just some feedback, I ended up going with a Duracell from Tiger Wheel and Tyre over a Willard due to the longer warranty.

Some advice, it's cheaper to order from the TwT website and select in store pick up rather than purchasing in store. I saved 300 bux doing it that way.

Nothing irritates me more than suppliers who sells stuff online where you still have to drive to them for a pickup, I guess it's understandable if they are nearby and you save R300.
