Has Rain gotten slower for you?

Yes, maybe after the lockdown has ended, things will get back to normal. I don't think Rain made provision for the amount of people connecting to the same towers now that they stay and work from home. The network simply cannot take all the strain. on top of that they are still selling tons of 4G sims and 5G packages. I also have lots of open tickets. Hope for a response.

let us no if they did anything for you

Thank you, I also think this is tower related, I just hope they fix this soon as we are paying for a service we cannot use. Full speed at other locations, but at home almost none existent.

let us no if they fixed it

Normal is 20Mb/s on full signal bars at this location on a B618, but now only manages 1-4 Mb/s. This has been the case for the past two weeks.

They are definitely throttling, because you can see the speedtest jumping to normal speeds at the beginning for a quick moment, before being hammered into submission.

lol that's not how it works, most htlm5 speedometers use the average of difference between sections of speeds to calculate the speed per second, and it's very common for the initial speed to hiccup which throws off the meter and displays a high jump before levelling out (also the fact that it shouldn't happen on a speedtest website as ISPs give them priority to boost ratings, fast.com would be more appropriate). Not saying your claim is invalid tho, during lockdown there'd be seldom times the internet cuts, and upon resume was god-awful before it cuts again and restores my speed, but of course this varies from region to region like usual.
I still hold the belief that rain is being truthful in most cases and isn't throttling but is shaping from time to time, esp. during this unexpected lockdown, but blunders do happen like in the early days of the 24 hour package when the 19 hour package was throttled for streaming services before being restored. I just wish they were more consistent with everyone so that wildly different opinions of them wouldn't exist.

@rain_mobile
Since a few weeks ago, my speed has dropped to the point of being unusable.
DL 0.62Mbps
UP 3.88Mbps

Weird thing, a friend of mine stays like 1km from me and he has a perfectly working connection,
DL 34.69Mbps
UL 21.56Mbps

So chances of us connecting to different towers are highly unlikely.
I have logged 2 calls/emails but have not received any comms.

and then moments later, it is even worse
Ping: 47ms
Download: 0.92Mbps
Upload: 0.72Mbps

Downloads at night are running at best at average of 1.1 MB/s, but mostly between 373 KB/s to 829 KB/s. This used to be between 14 and 20 Mbps.

CELL ID:0502288-002 PLMN:65538

Router informs me speeds are as follow:
Uplink_Speed: 4478
Downlink_Speed: 4673

This is NOT cool
