Hi everyone,
So to give you all the break down from my past diagnosis;
I was in a serious motorcycle accident and sustained a bit of brain tissue scarring.
I battled with everyday tasks and I had a very bad short term memory; long term memory was fukked.
I saw many doctors and even went on a 'trial' of different meds for six weeks. It was extremely unpleasant!
I was then diagnosed with adults ADHD.
So the doctor fist prescribed me 10mg methylphenidate instant release.
I had huge issues with the short term effects and went to see to doc again.
He then prescribed me with 54mg methylphenidate (Concerta) slow released over a twelve hour period.
That stuff worked wonderfully and I found myself doing thing I would never have been able to do post the motorcycle accident.
But I found that I was getting extremely overloaded with work and huge amounts of pressure from all my superiors.
I then was prescribed 1mg Alprazolam, but that stuff made me very sleepy and my speech was slurred.
Back to the doc again, He took me off of the Alprazolam and prescribed me with 10mg Diazepam to take three times a day. Before work then every six hours.
The diazepam made me happy and made me very alert and kind of energetic!
I found this very strange since the Alprazolam and the Diazepam were very structurally similar and part of the same group of Benzodiazepines. So the one made me sleepy and the other one made me very active now this was in combinations with Concerta. I was flying through tasks and completing them in such a short time I could handle all the work load and all the pressure I was under with such ease. I could stop in the middle of tasks and do a quick task then jumped straight back into what I was doing with no loss of focus or any issues.
I stayed on that combination for a long time and it was working fine until I had a few “episodes” and then I was put on to Seroquel in combination with the diazepam and Concerta.
I was fine and functioned at a pace of an athlete not physically but a mental athlete
--------------------
But then two days ago I went to see the doctor to get my scripts and he changed all my medication…
Took me off all of it and put me on this hard-core schit!!!
1) Pregabalin (Lyrica) 150mg twice at night
2) Yelate (duloxetine) 60mg once in the morning
I feel disgusting!!!!!!!!!!
I am dehydrated, my mouth is dry, I have a constant headache and I cannot focus my eyes correctly.
It’s almost as if I'm squinting to see the monitor and then **poof** I'm out like a light switch!
Woke up exactly nine hours after ingestion and kept taking hour long naps!
Since writing this post I have had four naps!
Has anyone one had any experience with Pregabalin?
I don’t know if this is normal or if I am having a bad reaction to it.
I have absolutely no idea why he took me off the Concerta!!!
