Hi all

oky lets start from the beginning..i was born with the whole deal asthma , eczema and very bad sinuses..

well as a kid growing up there were a lot of products i used a LOT!! eventually the eczema i out grew at 18

the asthma same..its very light now! but for my sinuses :/ i'm 24 today and still struggling so bad with it.. i've been on every thing nothing works,i'm sad to say that i have to use prednisone and allergex to counter my sinuses and red eyes..

i've left it now for 4 days..every morning i wake up with a big headache ,stuffed nose, blood red eyes that full of mucus..

i've tried rinsing my sinuses with salt water ..that only gets most of the snot away :/

Does anyone know what i can use that works as great as prednisone ?!Please so tired of pills by now

Salex SSR , will see improvement after week or 2. Then also ask for Avamys fluticasone furocate for when under sinus attack.
Also have very bad sinus and using SSR after week my sinus got better, the avamys also helped, but ive dropped the avamys after a month and only go back on it when required.

how long have you avoided foods that you are supposedly allergic to or shouldn't eat? It can take a month or more to show improvement.
Mostly cutting dairy of any sort and wheat helps a lot. ( yip, no cereals, pasta, pizza, cheese, milk etc)

yes some areas my sinuses go even more insane! bad asthma is gone?!

depends on areas

How often do you exercise?

I suffer a lot from sinus and when I get back to doing regular exercise, it helps a lot. I'm also on chronic medication, Fexo180, and cannot live without it.

Both my kids suffer from allergies and we also tried avoiding dairy, truth is its hard if not impossible so we just learn to live with it.

Exercise really helps me a lot. As soon as my sinuses start to close up when I get sick, I go straight to the gym. Seems to speed up my recovery too. Just careful not to overdo it.

Have you tried a neti pot? Rinsing my sinuses keeps me sane when I fly to another city.

i'm trying sinus cleaning with salt water ,rinsing ..

thing is it doesnt go away and come back...it just stays ..that is why i use prednisone and a allergex, that makes me feel normal and wake up with no sinuses or red eyes

but like i said i want to get rid of this pill seeing how bad it is!

Have you been to a ENT specialist? Can you generally breath OK through your nose? I don't know if there is surgery which an ENT might recommend.

Not too cheap tho, the SSR is around R120 at dischem for the bottle and the 60 satchels.
Avamys I can't remember now should be in the same range.
But like I said try the SSR for a period first.
Also I don't drink milk at all, some yogurt each morning and I do run almost each day around 5km.
So maybe try exercising like others mention?
