It is a machine that connects to your TV source (e.g. DSTV or MNET decoder) and also to your home internet connection.
You can then access it over the internet from anywhere in the world.
As a result, you can watch TV on your PC worldwide.
Imagine watching Super12 rugby, or anything else on DSTV anywhere you are on your PC or smartphone.
Not sure how viable it will be in SA as 6 hours of upstream will use 1Gb of bandwidth.

It needs a minimum upstream speed of 256Kbps - as far as ADSL goes only the 512 and 1024 offer that.

Often thought about installing one in the states, especially during baseball season.
