There is an error in either the headline or the article. 12+6+4+2 does not equal 23

This is proof that you will never ever give credit where it's due, complain when police officers engage in corruption, come up with reasonable explanations when corrupt officers are arrested.
I appreciate that it's easy to praise nuanced good (police) work in a country where crime run rampant.

It's done pretty much everywhere when police officers are the ones being arrested.

Would you say we have a problem where far too many police are implicated in the committing of crimes?
Our problem is at management level, starting form the top.
We do have many good cops, but also a lot of problems waiting to happen. The sad part is we're losing the good ones, some in specialist roles, as they move out into the private industry - and we can't afford that to happen.

Yes, we do. So, seeing them being arrested gives us hope that we're getting rid of the bad apples.

12+6+4+2 = 24
But only 23 arrested. So 1 lucky guy got away.
24 officers, made up of the ranks indicated. Making a total of 12 arrests. Bad englishing on the part of the journalist if they stated different.

Edit: Not sure but I think the "journalist" done screw up.

I see 11 + 12 arrested. Unless I misunderstood

Edit: 12 made up of 6 + 4 + 2...then add 11 others
That would make sense. The 12 listed officers are the 6 + 4 + 2. So there must be a further 11 somewhere not stated.
