HD PVR randomly reboots

Hi all,

Anybody got a suggestion for me?
I have 2 separate DSTV decoders (HD-PVR 2P). Both randomly reboot. The one (secondary), almost every single day, sometimes twice a day. The other (primary), 2 or 3 times a week. Time is random - morning, noon, or night - for both.
The decoders are connected via heartbeat with an extra-view system.
They are in two very separate locations, in the lounge (secondary, main home), the other outside in my office (primary decoder). Heartbeat cable is approx. 35 meters. Single dish, twin LNB, 6-way splitter.
Signal Strength = 98%, quality = 100%.

They have been doing this forever - nothing new.

Is this the big metal ones that was around just before the explora if it is - that's a common issues. If you have the extra insurance you hand it in at Multichoice and they give you a new one.

Small black one - about 28cm across, 16cm deep, and 3.5cm high - card sticks out the front by about 1cm.

Is it not under warranty? If so MC will replace it

Its part of multi choice's campaign to force everyone onto an explora.

I have the HD decoder just before the explora.. and yes, the reboots can get irritating. I refuse to "upgrade" to an explora. Not worth the money.

streaming content and Plex have not made me miss DSTV once
