This thread has actually reminded me to be more considerate of my colleagues when I have a bad nose morning.

I went through a half box of tissues today. My nose just kept running. I took Advil, Med-Lemon and Strepsils, but it didn't work.

So how do you stop your nose from running?

I read the following (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6282993):

The duration that influenza A and B viruses last outside the human body are:
  1. Up to 48 hours on hard, non-porous surfaces like steel, with measurable quantities being transferred to human hands for up to 24 hours.
  2. Up to 12 hours on soft, porous surfaces like paper and tissue, with measurable quantities being transferred to human hands for up to 15 minutes.
  3. Up to 5 minutes on human hands.

Colds are usually transmitted when somebody touches their mouth or nose with infected hands.

I tear tissues into wide strips, roll them into cylinders (nostril length) and bung up the drip. Remove when soggy, repeat.

Drives HO nuts but works for me -! No nasty red nose.

Can you get toxic shock syndrome from plugging your nose with folded tissues?

Grrrrrr! Head Office is getting on my nerves, maybe am wrong, perhaps it's a guy thing, am I just too Lazy? Winter is here, and when I awake in the cold Namibian mornings, for the first hour of the morn, I have a wee bit of a runny nose, not the heavy fluid, just the light stuff, so it's easy just to have a light stiff whilst I am busy doing things..... Much to Head Offices disgust...... "Stop That, get a tissue!".... I don't see the issue, am I wrong? is She right?

Snifffffff!
For light stiffs: Get stiff stiffer; FAP! Problem solved temporarily.
