Placed my order with VOX on 13 Sept, VOX agent responded to my request on the same day and helped me formalize the order through the ISP. On the 14th I was informed that a company called DAC would get in touch for the feasibility check. Been waiting since at "Status: Pending Installation. Installation Status: Site Survey Pending". I'm not in such a hurry so that's fine, but I'll probably call them soon just to confirm that everything's still on track... Either that or I'll try approach DAC security directly to schedule a meeting on mutual terms... Anyone else dealing with a VOX order or DAC-contracted installation? What have your experiences been so far?

Yeah indeed. We only do premium accounts though and 100/100 is R1199

Cool Ideas is the only option!! The rest are just bleh...

PBcool and Gumani @coolideas are legends!! I too was patient with the installation, thinking I'd just wait it out, then I had to cancel my DSL account before the 26th, and was without internet for a day, when I realised, it's tough without it, so I asked PBcool and Gumani to assist, and was setup within 2 or 3 days.

Cool Ideas has changed my life (Infomercial aside) going from a mediocre 4 meg DSL line with helkom, to a 20/2 fibre account with CISP, it's in a league of its own! Not to mention NNTP speeds on Internet Solutions server is insanely fast!!

OK so I was in no hurry as I have a LTE deal that needs to run out but I ordered fibre anyway (have to make up for the years of mother buffering). Ordered 12 September , no rush. Receive a missed call last week from Brightlink so I return the call , great news can install this morning at 08:00am. 08:10am no installers, phone them (they will check and call back) , phone them again 08:30 sorry some stuff up on scheduling they can "maybe" install 15:00 today.
So just warning everyone confirm bookings with this lot they can't schedule....

A resident in my street, who was due to be connected yesterday, was let down because the installers ran out of cable. They promised to return in the afternoon but never did.

I seriously hope my installation on Thursday runs smoothly!

Gumani was massive for me. I raise my hands to him. He makes a difference.

So if I work it out correctly, Vumatel contracts Britelink for installations who in turn contracts Reflex for network configurations. There is seemingly no service level agreement in place between Britelink and Reflex. Reflex is currently far behind on configurations, therefore if your auto configuration fails, then it will take quite some time to do the 2 minute manual configuration.

Lol, could've just waited but enjoy your adsl I guess.

No can't live with ADSL in Wilropark. Have uncapped LTE wanted fiber, will maybe order again in a month or two. Just hate that we don't have options to use different providers.

Year of the Fibre ISP?

Where did these guys come from? I wonder if they will be added to the Vuma ISP list? (Edit: I see Active Fibre are already on the list)

If anyone is wondering about the official ISP list, here you go:

Chameleon Fibre has cheeky advertising! (The chameleon is chowing a certain red ISP)

Chameleon Fibre
Active Fibre

*Edit* Eh? Chameleon Fibre *is* Afrihost?

If I go to chameleonfibre.co.za on an internet browser, I get to a unique site. If I go via mybb, it redirects to Afrihost...
