Remind me again what was the STATE policy back then?
Remind me again what was the STATE policy back then?
I accept, my reasonable explanation has flaws.Haha, but if that's the case what could he (Maimane) possibly have had to do that was more important?

Explain how that justifies it..
Yeah. The problem is many people don't seemed to know how these structures really work. The Federal Council or NEC holds the real power. The leader (of the party) is just the glorified CEO. He hokds the executive power...which pretty much make him/her the bitch. Your job is just to execute, we just give you a "leader" title to fool the voters. You do what we tell you to do, or else we have the power to remove you through legal processes. Same structure as corporate.I am positive Maimane's race was just a wonderful coincidence.
I am sure it was different when Helen was still running the show, she was pretty much able to do what she wanted, she was able to get her preferred candidate installed as a party leader.Yeah. Explain why you seemed to have a problem with a state banned organization not allowing the very oppressor they fight to be in their elected leaders, but seemingly don't have a problem with the state policy at the time?![]()

They didn't want the "enemy" infiltrating their decision making bodies perhaps?![]()

Weren't they regarded the "enemy" back then?Simpleton. Read non-black.

Of course, she's part of the cabal.I am sure it was different when Helen was still running the show, she was pretty much able to do what she wanted, she was able to get her preferred candidate installed as a party leader.

Edit: There was even a low intensity war going in.
The Nats were regarded enemies of non-Europeans at the time. Some politicians still use the word but have expanded it to include pretty much everyone.
If you say so...Nonsense.

Surely soldiers weren't encamped at villages to protect them?
You never stop Champ. You're like an ANC robot. You like to "engage" in a conversation. Nope. You need new glasses. The ANC has stuffed everything and everyone up...and you can't see itWish I could ask the Madam a couple of questions, what was wrong with DA that it needed transformation? And is the transformation process complete according to her or is there some more transformation that Maimane should continue implementing?
As beneficiaries of black economy empowerment programs, i didn't know they were oppressors. Maybe YOU should explain your straw man.Haha. So tell me how Indians and coloureds are oppressors.
Of course it is. You just prove it.Guess racism is cool when you support it.
Thank you for the paragraphs -- at least it is now readable ( NOTHING to do with Internet OR ADHD )The way I see it is that if you are genuinely interested in discovering how the DA operates you will do what I have done and that is pick up any thread that bugs you about your local politics. Are there accusations of corruption that have never been followed through on?
A favourite DA tactic is to make statements in the press about this or that corruption that ALWAYS make them look like they are on the side of right, but they never ever follow through.
It isn't in their interests to get the corrupt person out. They want them in place to do the damage until such time they fark up so royally that the DA can swoop in and capture the town. It is at this point that some other person will take the blame for all the mistakes, poor administration, etc that had occured in such a fashion that no-one stops to ask - where the fark where the DA councillors while all this was going on right under their noses - and a few key personnel will be fired.
There will be mutterings about prosecutions which will never happen. Any reports about any wrongdoing will be mentioned, but never made public. At this point the townspeople have been told so many times about how wonderful the DA are, they swallow all this shite hook, line and farking sinker.
They are so tired of all the crap and ongoing shenanigans that they don't even fight when their electricity, rates, water etc go through the roof - first excuse is 'we have to sort out the outstanding debt', then the next year there is another excuse, and the year after that another 'reason' is given. Meantime nothing is actually run better, you just pay more.
Then the building work starts - under the guise of 'job creation', there will be roadworks, a mall or two, municipal land sold off for a development, RDP houses - all contracts going to their buddies in the construction industry, oh and now the latest is the farking electronic water meters - with subsidiary companies being set up so you don't immediately associate it with the people who put in the water meters in COCT - all of course for your "benefit" - HA!
And they will publish totally bullshit reports about how they have turned the town around after the big bad ANC farked it up (with lots of help from their 'friends') while the residents bleed money in their general direction. All so the DA can ultimate achieve their goal of a little state capture of their own.
Read the news reports - this picture is there to be seen. Look at any town where there has been ongoing jockeying for control of the town between the ANC and the DA for a few years. Go back, read the press reports, read what the DA and then look at what they actually do.
There are examples of everything I have said all over South Africa.
Look at what happens when an ANC run town is put in administration under the DA. Look at the increases the DA introduce as soon as they can.
