downloaded

Thanks very much guys!

I've redownloaded the entire thing again... took about 4 hours.

I worked out that the download has cost me R112 in bandwidth. Considering I had to do it twice, that comes to R224.

ouch!

Dapper better be able to breathe fire...

I'll also say you should get yourself some cd's, and go to the freedom toaster in the mtn science center. now remember, while you are there, check out the other distro's like mandriva limited edition, and rush to incredible corruption (about 60 meter) to get some more cd's, and burn yourselve some linux!!!!!!

Oh, sorry. You'll need some time. That thing burns 3 cd's at the same time, but at about the same time it will take to burn all 3 of them seperately......

I'll have to correct you there. The toaster does burn all CDs at the same time - I was able to get 3 debian disks and Kubuntu at Canal Walk in 15 minutes. I was impressed

Then they must have upgraded the machine since the last time I'fe been there.

Did it still have the three gigabite *spit* writers?

<edit>I was also amazed. 3 Cd's was just ermmm...??? mind bogling. (I was used to the m$ approach)

What a pity my boss won't allow me to run linux on my work pc :(

For any who are interested in Cape Town, I order boxes of the CDs from shipit.ubuntu.org. Dammit, I have to pay import tax on this, can you believe it (Only when I order about 50 or more).

I've just ordered Dapper discs, should be here in about 6 weeks. I still have about 10 or so 5.04 discs, even one or two MAC discs.
