After month and years of trying to quit smoking. I finally did it, sure I will always have the urge but as long as I do not have another one I will be fine.

Only problem with quitting smoking is the weight one gains:eek:, I have gone from a total of 85kg to about 95kg:confused:.

I am more than happy with everything but I am so hungry all the time since I stopped smoking. To make matters worse I have been too busy and have not been to gym in months:(

Here is the thing, I already have an 50 minute routine I have to do for my legs. *Have weak knees thus this part of my routine is sorted*

However I need to do the following:

Three times a week I need to get the following in:

45minutes of cardio: I tend to do, 15 minutes of cycling, 15 minutes treadmill, 15 minutes of rowing machine.

45minutes of the routine of my legs. All sorted and specially setup by a training instructor.

However I need something for my upper body, including bench press etc.

Not to mention my diet, planning to cut down on my carbohydrates. Steaming the rest of my food etc.

Get a gym instructor to help you plan one.

When I joined virgin active they offered to give me a body analysis and then work out an eating plan and a gym routine for me, free of charge.

Ps lifting weights (medium to heavy) is better for burning fat IIRC :)

AFAIK you just need to do whatever you can to increase your metabolism again.

Lately quite a few people asked me if I have lost weight. Truth is I haven't lost a KG, actually gained a few. Just do a lot of gym and get your physique in good shape :)

I have also heard resistance training is the best for losing weight but I aim to keep my weight just as it is so haven't really tried. They say drink loooooots of water which probably helps keep your metabolism up and also helps with the hunger. Don't starve yourself though. Poor nutrition also means poor metabolism. It's no use killing all the fat but your metabolism is up to shyte and it all comes back again.

Jumping on the scale is the most deceiving thing. Your body weight is not a good indicator at all.
You could train hard at the gym for 1/2 months and your weight doesnt go down or surprise your weight actually goes up.

Here is the thing: Muscle weighs more than fat!!!

A more accurate measure is a body fat measure as a percentage.
