So the next item to replace after our recent burglary is the TV. I've heard good things about Hisense. Should I go 50N3000 or 55K3140?

What do you knowledgeable folk suggest?

PostmanPot is likely to be your best go-to for this ;)

If it's for a reasonably big room, perhaps the 55" would work, where you're perhaps far enough away that the lower res would be less noticeable. I'd be partial to a UHD telly though :D

Future proof yourself and grab the 4k UHD. 55 inch is a good option provided it's within the price range you looking for.

R1300 more can get you this https://www.samsung.com/africa_en/tvs/suhd-ks8500/
Hirsch having a clearance sale from tomorrow till Sunday, found it at their Struben's valley branch.

If you not interested then they also have the Hisense 55" N3000 for R6500 or 50" for R5200
Those are really good prices! I'm hoping to but with some hifi Corp vouchers acquired via ebucks, so my store options are a bit limited.

I would not suggest the N series since it is a lower spec tv then other hisense UHD tvs on the market but depending on your budget.

Check this one out on takealot *

Hisense 55" Smart UHD HDR PLUS LED TV

Much better OS and reviews and comes in 50 inch aswell. Personally I would go for a Samsung.

It's not the N series that's the problem, it's the number afterwards. Similar to how Samsung do it, N seems 2017, 3000 entry,5000 mid and 7 upwards high end.
