Help me please - router settings!!!!

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me???

i am a telkomsa(SP) user and someone informed me that the router settings are **** that the telkom dudes leave you with!

this is why i Experience problems with holding connections to programes such as irc, msn and soulseek!

please could someone help me with changing my router settings so i can fix this problem!!!!!

The problem could be coming from the line as well. Look in your settings for a disconnect timeout and make sure its set to 0. Get telkom to test your line and give u the SNR and attenuation values. They might shed some light on whether the prob is coming from your line your line or not.. otherwise there are no other significant settings that could be changed by the telkom technician to cause connectivity loss.

well... depends. have a look if its the line dropping you or your ISP.
the 'disconnect timeout' by default is on 0 or blank. so I wouldn’t worry about that. ( unless its been changed)
