Which PCI to PCMCIA adapter do you have?
I've used the Sunix PCT1010R on various AMD boards with Nvidia chipsets without any problems. A nice thing about this card is it uses a Ricoh PCMCIA controller common in laptops which is directly supported by Windows, no driver required.

I had a similar prob in the beginning.I just reinstalled my Usb drivers (the driver usualy comes with the motherboard) and then installed the e620 software, and then I inserted the e620 and then it worked.
PS.
I also have the dual core amd and the Sunix PCT1010R (Got it from Hi Fi Corp) on my dektop and it is working 100%
