My 6years old Nokia N8(still working) has served me well, only problem with it is the battery(won't hold much charge and these batteries are hard to find), and so I feel it's time to upgrade.
I have a budget of up to R4000.
Need the following spec: 5.5"+ screen size(1080p ), 16GB+ internal storage(with support for card slot), 12MP+ Primary Camera, 1.5GB+ Ram(not gonna play games on the device). Everything else optional.
Now I've been looking at the Motorola G4 and it seems to cover everything I need/want(plus the price is very attractive considering its spec). Realise that I can get the Motorola G4 only from Orange Store. Question though: is Orange's service good or should I not even consider buying anything from them?
Also any other cellphone recommendations are welcomed. (note I'm not a fan of Samsung, IPhone, Sony).
Thanx...

Their cases are very well built and sturdy. I've use their phones exclusively and have (and had) quite a few over the years. I normally pass them on every 12-18 months and get myself a nice new one.

Asus ZenFone 2

I have never had any problems from Orange, it was quite a while ago since I I purchase from them. There are other online stores that are much cheaper than Orange.

Most times you get it within 2 weeks. Depends on how busy the thieves are at SA Customs. I normally bank on 3-4 weeks. The purchases are all escrow. So if no delivery then you get your money back.

6250 mAh battery. Not up to speed with the latest phone specs, but can this be right?
My tablet have a lower capacity battery and get 8 to 10 hours screen on time easily.

Must be a lie or the phone is much thicker than their claim of 1cm.

The S7 is only 3000mAh and 0.79cm and the Cat S60 is 3800mAh and 1.2cm, if theirs is twice the capacity it can last 2 or 3 days...

The biggest capacity that I know of is the oukitel k10 000 which as the name suggests has a 10k mAh battery so very possible

This is a R2K phone not a R15K or R20K phone.

My last purchase was a X5 MaxPro . It has a 4000mah battery an it still has 33% battery after 2 days. That is running 2 SIM's in a rural area where the phones are constantly looking for signal. That eats up about a third of the daily battery usage. The T6 is a much higher spec phone with larger screen, higher res and 8 cores. It will use a lot more battery than the X5.

The batteries, like every other manufacture, are over exaggerated. So it will probably only have a 6100mah capacity.

I have found that the case dimensions on the Doogee phones are accurate. My DG700 is 1.5cm thick, but its a ruggedized phone with a 4000mah battery, and its over 18months old. That also lasts over 2 days. It seams that they are aiming for a usable phone for 48hrs with some battery to spare. Obviously if you play games and watch a lot of video, this will eat up a lot of battery.

Some sites have done tests on Doogee batteries and found them to be close to stated capacity. Didn't take the time to see how other manufacturers compare on this.

Doogee make a really nice phone. Ok specs at a good price. The type of phone you can abuse for 12 months and then pass it on. The specs are high enough that it works really well now, but will be dated in 18 months. That way you can get a nice new phone every year and not break the bank.

Their cases are of vey good quality, hence you may see the weights are a bit higher than other phones. All the non-ruggedized phones I've had have taken a good few drops without issue. A few scratches on the case. They not so much heavier that you would notice it after a day of carrying it around.
