Help needed, struggling for 5 months - No 4G

Good day all.
Since ive done the 5.1.1 update on my Samsung S6edge in oct 2015 ive lost my 4G completely.
ive tried everything to get it back, SAMSUNG S.A cant resolve this, Vodacom is useless.
I even flashed a custom Rom hoping it will work. ive tried from Factory reset, Cache cleaning, Rom flash, all APN settings, diff sim cards etc...my wife's phone got 4g and mine NONE!

WHERE IS THIS OCKIE OAK?? ive been told he's the man !!! lol

First things to test:

Does your wifes sim have 4g in your phone?
(if so, likely something with your sim).


Does your sim have 4g in her phone?
(if so, something with your phone).

my wife got a S6 and i have the EDGE. i even did a sim swop. like i mentioned, 4G was fine with 2/3 BARS till i updated to lollipop 5.1.1

You put your sim in her phone. Did LTE work on her phone when you did that?

You put your SIM in her phone and there was no 4G? Well then obviously it is a Vodacom thing and you can stop harassing your phone...

somewhere on this forum i read a threat about a guy who had the same problem but with his brand new IPHONE 6 and got it fixed thru someone on here. the guy took his cell number ...........????

lol....yeah well, i spoke to vodacom about this more than once, and to be honest, i know more about tech and phones then they do.
they just said everything on their side is fine
