Hey all

I am new to this forums and also adsl. And I am in need of some advice, I did check all the necessary threads and searched the forums but the answer I got wasn’t good enough. And google well it’s pathetic.

Firstly: The difference between an adsl modem and router. Do I need both?

For Cybersmart users:
Secondly: if indeed I went over the standard 3GB cap say 10mb, will I be billed for the 10mb or another 3GB?

Thirdly:
I am part of a lan network of 4pc’s(All in one home). If I connect using the host pc (To cybersmart) and through the lan connect with a guest pc. Will I be billed for both pc’s? This question follows the terms and conditions. http://faq.cybersmart.co.za/

Thank you.

an adsl modem is a router.. so you're fine there

on the cybersmart 3GB account the amount that you go over your cap gets subtracted from your next months cap..

no, cause only the host pc has an active connection to the net, the others connect to the host..
