There were two screws, I unscrewed them.

Still it wouldn't budge, the light cover that is.

Peered inside and there's a small flap, not sure if this is how you access it, looks like there's wires and fuses inside, but the hole is so small...

Um, I got this right once a few years back. It wasn't hard. After you've undone the screws, have you tried wiggling it? It might need to be lifted out at a bit of an angle.

That looks like too much work.
Check in the boot if there isn't a flap or opening of some sorts that gives you access to the globe cluster in the tail light.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you are probably the single worst "ladies man" in the entire history of humanity. We know this from past experience.

Not being able to fix things makes you even less of a ladies man.

That said, RTFM. If you have lost TFM, download a new FM from the Internet. Or just Google [Your car name] and "tail light replacement".

Protip: Name of your car can be found on the back. Or the license disc. (That's the round white papery thingy in the windscreen). (The "windscreen" is the big piece of glass that separates the outside and the inside of the car, on the front side).

Some days I miss having a "like" button more than others.

Lulz; shame...give the poor oke a break.

Normally those who state (vocally) they are a "ladies man" are quite the opposite imo...

Its a Fiat Palio, can tell from the tail light cluster.

Probably unscrews from the front, ie if you open the boot, the screws there

Unscrew it pull the cluster off and twist the bulb holder to get at the lamp.....

Very similar to the picanto.....
