I need help. I have an MTN phone that was ported from Vodacom and on a regular basis, when people try to call me they get: "The subscriber you have dialled is not available, please call again later."
When this happens, more often than not the phone is sitting on my desk with full signal.

I need to know if anyone else gets this message on MTN or if I am an isolated case because I can't get a straight answer out of MTN or Autopage.
They all seem to think that it has something to do with the way my diverts are configured but we have played around with that and it doesn't help.

I was wondering if any of the bright cookies on the forum had any good ideas before I start throwing my toys at people with expensive cars (management).

I have this issue on various Nokia's E65, E90, N95, Navigator and an HTC Touch and a SE K550.

But not on either of those phones.

All these phones come directly from the manufacturers so are not network specific. This is something that only happens on the MTN network.
But why would this make a difference?

Excuse my ignorance but what would reregistering the SIM capabilities do?

And would I need to call my SP or MTN directly?

To be honest I dont know how it could affect it, all I know is I had a E70 once and it was not endorsed on the SP network, and it never worked, calls worked but that was it, no 3G, no sms, no mms.

SO that could be the problem, stupid idea but in a another 2 months I think the phones would work better.
