HELP with f@stlink E220 on vista

When I plugged my modem in, it says device installed correctly. no installation thing showed up and if I clicked on the icon in my computer (it says it is a CD)it said disk corrupted! is there a driver or something I need?

I'm not familiar with Vista, but in XP when you plug in the E220 for the first time it is supposed to install the software that is on the E220 onto your pc. A new icon is also supposed to appear on your desktop.

Have you tried plugging into a different USB port?

same thing happened when i installed my sony ericsson file to phone transfer application, installed but no icon or any recollection of it being done, guys any ideas here would be muchos appreciated.

Trash Vista and go back to XP
