Help with porting & general customer care.

Hi, Im looking to port from Cell C to MTN. I smsed (PORTME#sim no) to 0837678287 and did not recieve sms confirmation or OTP etc.
I have been calling various customer care numbers to get assistance but I am constantly being referred to the automated call menus, half of which either cut the call or do not give an option to speak to anyone.

How does one contact the porting department? Is there perhaps an email address? I have tried 0837678287. It says not registered on the MTN network. I have tried 0831237667. The call cuts after asking me to rather email them at a barely audible email address.
