So does anyone know how to get hold of Lauren Stewart? I'd like to ask her if her income did indeed treble in 2009 as anticipated in the video above. Does anyone know? I'm curious since it's still being used as marketing material for Herbalife.

Her twitter account seems a little out of date

I'm assuming Herbalife doesn't cut it anymore? I see posts from 2009, a couple from 2011... looks like someone bailed. Oh, never mind.... 0 following 1 follower.

I'd love to hear the truth about this kind of 'work from home' opportunity from people who have given it a good go. I'm tired of the only people talking about it being those with a vested interest in you signing up.

My biggest problem would be trying to sell something that you know doesn't work/isn't as effective as a real diet and exercise program.

I can only imagine how many stupid/unaware/gullible people there are out there who would buy enough of this snake oil to support my income, that and the fact that there are a hundred other reps out there already.

...Golden Products

...so why do educated people fall for it?
Greed? We all want to get rich from the comfort of our own homes / retire early I guess?
Instant reward. The media bombard us with people that seemed to get rich by doing nothing. If we look into these people's careers you will see most of them worked hard to get rich.
That is also what is wrong with the current government, they loot taxes because they want to be rich instantly.

My fiancée sells herbalife but very seldom. We use the system more to our advantage than anything else. Get huge discounts, for instance she just sold a shake mix, herbal tea and roughage pills. With the order she also bought a shake mix for me and her. The mix ended up costing us R100 each (we got 2) where it would normally be R400 each I think.

I take it for breakfast and lunch and I must say I am still hungry after but don’t feel the need to go buy something from the shop. I’m not starving so to speak (when usually I would be, I’m a big guy 1.94m 125kg) and it gets me through the day. It’s by no means a miracle cure but it stops me from having hotdogs or pies or fried chicken/calamari from checkers so in that regard it helped me.

As to the op I do believe you can make money if you become committed and have a huge circle of friends or contacts. When you start I think you make 25% profit on a item. No small feat when products cost R400 etc. More you sell higher % return.

So like anything you have to work hard to make it successful. It's not a pyramid scheme but of course they're overhyping it like everything.

no weight loss product works without a change in diet and lifestyle, even the pharmaceutical ones. The big boy fat burners which are amphetamines also wont work if you dont change your lifestyle. Granted you will not put on weight and even lose a few kgs but once its stopped it will bounce right back up. People tend to think of these things as wonder pills, they not they accelerate the process (dont even think about mentioning clenbutrol, growth hormone and ephidrine because body builders are working out :p)

Though one thing really puzzles me. Take phedra cut for example, it costs about R500 for a month supply where as phentermine (the S5 amphetamine used to treat obesity which is faaaar more potent and more or less the same in safety if you not an idiot) costs R230 for a month supply. Never understood why people bother with this lame stuff

That said without lifestyle modification even surgery wont help it will just keep coming back.

My friend sells Herbalife and is really committed to selling the product, she also runs a twice weekly exercise bootcamp. For her group its definitely more of a lifestyle change.

I do Herbalife and it's a work-from-home or extra income opportunity. I don't make money from it but I do use it for the discounts. You can however make money from it if you apply yourself. Like with anything, it's a case of you get out what you put in.

As for the products, I can vouch for them; there's even international athletes endorsing it and I have personally seen athletes using it.

I heard the products are actually good.

Regarding the way its sold etc - sure as with all the other similar schemes, selling to your circle of friends on the side is not going to earn you big money.

Well I haven't seen any of those "Lose weight now" "Ask me how" stickers that used to be stuck on rear windows of clapped out cars
and neva neva on Bmws or audi. Only on crap. Not even Pot has one anymore. I once used to friggin dream one of these herbalife people would recognise they had a ready mark as I couldn't see my toes so they would come up to me as opposed to me going up to them but You could pass them and they'd not even look twice. Anyway I got fit by following the bodybuilders forum and getting tost-er-on jabs in the buttocks and munching chicken breasts. Took a while.
Lump in MMM scheme just like Amway, but Amway is evil. I've rescued people from Amway.

How do you make use of the discounts? Register as a dealer and only buy for yourself? What kinda discount do you get?

Is that available over the counter? Might be the reason Phedra cut gets more sales?

any offer where you got to sign up other people to sell for you is dicey.
you basically then sharing your profits with your customers how is that a good business model.
It's a scam legal or not it doesn't make the cash people promise.

That's why you don't see big companies like EdCon and Vodacom doing this. I wish people would wise up.

Herbalife is actually one of the few multi level marketing schemes that isn't a scam.

I know someone who worked her ass off at Herbalife for the last 6 months. After you con your family into buying once, there's noone else stupid enough to buy more.

Then you try harder to find a real job.

at the end of the day you need to see the doctor once and you will get a 6 month script and a professional go ahead. With phedra cut no one is there to advise you, you pay more and it can still cause serious damage.

for 6 months:

s5 drug: +- R300 * 6 + Consult fee of R300 = R2100
Phedra: R400 * 6 = R2400

then you need to look at the results gained. You wouldnt gain the same fat burning effect from 6 months of phedra cut than you will get from 2 months of phentermine soooo I ask again why bother with this stuff ?
