Useful Google Chrome extensions

Google Chrome has several browser extensions that can make daily browsing more efficient and productive.

AtlasVPN’s report shows that Google Chrome is the world’s most popular browser, with more than 3.3 billion users in April 2022.

Thank you for dark reader.

The last time I looked at extensions like this one, they were universally terrible.

Another one to add is ublock origin. Probably the best 3rd party content blocker out there. Great security enhancement.

Surprised the two mentioned here aren't in the article hehe

On a separate note, I'd advise the following:

+ Don't install many extensions without verifying them first and periodically, it opens the risk of one of them becoming compromised in the future (e.g. The Great Suspender) without your knowing.
+ I'd recommend KDE Connect over Pushbullet for privacy reasons but it's fine if you don't mind, I used it many moons ago and it did the job well. iDevices have their integrated system as well.
+ Install ViolentMonkey instead, it's FOSS.
+ I can't attest to Honey's usefulness in SA but I wouldn't want this tracking every single site I use for nothing.

Everything else is alright. I also like to use Stylus for decorating certain sites better and Sören's Bookmark Organiser from time-to-time. That keeps it to just 4-5 to keep track of, and 3 of them have long standing trust anyhow.

uBlock Origin is very good

I only use Pushbullet from that list. Love it.
Used Dark Reader at a time but not anymore.

I won't be able to browse without Imagus ever again!

Still looking (but not too hard honestly) for a replacement for the endless scrolling function that was incorporated with FasterFox long ago. Automatically loads the next page on the forum and you just keep scrolling down. Never need to click next page.

Are you telling me you don't want to hear about NordVPN and SquareSpace?
Premium, alongside sponserblock works 99.9% for me :) Haven't heard an ad in a very long time on YouTube.
Before I found this, my ears were drenched in Express VPN, and great it is. :cautious:

Edit: I mostly listen to sermons these days on YouTube, so if the pastor randomly starts hawking some VPN, I'd be more concerned about his priorities

I'll add 'Session Buddy' and 'History Trends Unlimited'.

He is hawking much more potent stuff. Like Doom product placements. ;)
