Here is how much money Takealot makes

Takealot CEO Kim Reid recently revealed that Takealot makes around four times more than Jumia, which equates to nearly R9 billion per year.

Jumia is a Nigeria-based e-commerce platform which sells a large range of products like fashion and electronics across 14 African countries.

Is that revenue or profit? Two very different things.

****

Revenue. That is not at all what they “make”. That is simply what they take in, nothing to do with what they put out.

They are pre-profit. Forecasted to turn the corner on 2020.

All revenue and no profit makes jack a dull boy... Unless the reason for no profit is because Jack pays himself a rather handsome salary. Then it's win-win... Nothing for the taxman from the company other than tax on salaries. If you're making profit, you're not doing it right. *Cough*

But why courier companies don't use navigator, i mean according to me this could be more effective

There's revenue, profit and net profit. Even if TA were to show a net profit there's still all those billions that were pumped into it.

What are the net-profit figures for the entire Takealot group? Takealot+Superbalist+Mr Delivery etc?

Amazon's revenue in 2018 was US $232.887 billion... perhaps they should just buy Takealot as a fixer upper.

I don't mind supporting whoever can give me the best service.

Right? I work for a competitor but if Takealot is cheaper I buy there. Any e-commerce company banking on "loyalty" is in for a surprise.

Why? Come here, open shop, Takealot takes a hit, buy it on special if it's still worth it.

You don’t mind supporting Iqbal Surve?

I only recently found out he owned Loot, but I'm not giving him that much and as I said, for some or other reason, they are much faster than Takealot despite Takelot also having its main warehouse in Cape Town and having far more experience than Loot in the ecommerce space.
