Meh. Food prices will do what they usually do.

Yep, now cost a lot more to get the products from the farm to the factory / distribution warehouse and then to stores. Big food price increases incoming before December.... Thank god 99.5% of all food / products do not count for inflation, otherwise we would have seen a 60% inflation rate the past year.

If only there was a way to bring large quantities of things across large distances, if only.

In ancient Africa they used to have things called trains. Imagine that...
Back in the before times, back when there was people worried about the economy and wanted to try fix it.
I remember when I used to travel with my dad on his business trips when he was a rep in the early 90s, trains used to run right into the East rand depots for a lot of the larger companies, like Tongaat/African Products, food distribution warehouses had railyards as well. But by the 2000s when I was driving myself around doing support calls, the trains were less and less.

Doesn't bother me, I always throw in a hundred bux everytime I go to the petrol station
So we have heard. Still my favorite piece of trivia on this site. On a serious note tho, this is terrible news. We heading into high levels of ****ery right here that I don't think any of us are prepared for.

I thought the fuel stations would be busy this morning. Looks like people didn't get the news last night or they planing on filling up later

LOL. Yup. I hope people including taxis will start driving nicer now, wishful thinking I guess

A R55 increase in price might not be really worth the effort?
