Here it is - The letter mobile networks sent to Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa recently opened the 4th Industrial Revolution SA Digital Economy Summit and surprised many industry players with his comments about 5G, Huawei, and the United States (US).

Ramaphosa said he received a letter from local telecommunications companies which said the trade war between the US and China, which involve Huawei, can hurt the country.

I wonder who drafted the letter. It was signed by the 4 CEOs yes, but who wrote it?

One of the four's secretary or some other lacky.

I think its actually well written. Remember these are tech ceo's explaining a situation in commercial and political terms to a non tech savvy person ( based on his comments around the 5G, this is probably a safe assumption ). The problem is defined in terms and areas that the president can actually control or work with in diplomatic circles.

“We cannot afford to have our own economy held back because there is this fight that the United States are having and borne out of their own jealousies,” he said.
Ironic given how the Messiah and his government want to take away the property of successful people and nationalise successful businesses.

Only Huawei can provide 5G, I know that Nokia is a major 5G provider. And Huawei is spying on you on behalf of the Communist Chinese government.

This is I know, beside the point, but I can not wonder why people regard their signatures - and by implication their names - as of so little consequence that a crazy scratching is sufficient in represent themselves. Surely the time spent on signing an important document is well spent, considering it is the only information about yourself the receiver thereof has to form an opinion of yourself as a person.

Mmmm.... Makes you wonder regarding the letter. Huawei supply equipment much cheaper than Nokia and co.

We shouldn't really be taking sides here. Whether China or the US spy on us makes no real difference. But it's silly when people who are supposed to know better doesn't seem to understand why it is an Issue for the US and not just "jealousy"
