Here's how much electricity will cost if Eskom's price hikes are approved

Well... I popped R600 into the banking app last night, and was rewarded with 120 units of lektrik.
A couple of years ago, this would have gotten me around 250 units.
Soon, it's going to cost a grand for 100 units.

Eskom writing its obituary with these increases. It already makes financial sense to use a solar system, add in these increases, you are going to see large numbers of people going the solar route.

Yeer, ek is nou moeg n ek wil vloek but that doesn't help either. Yeses!

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE... why isn't the government stopping corruption, incompetence, sabotage and clawing back monies from tenderpreneurs ?

when 5 million pay for electricity and 64 million steal.

Never going to work.
More people will change to solar .

Rinse Wash Repeat

I just bought 192 units now for R750
**** me sideways this is getting expensive now
We always use R750 every month
Let's see if it is enough for July

That is R5.00 per unit

How are the numpties who voted for the ANC/MK affording this? Clearly they are happy with it as they just voted for these fcknuts again.

losing 32 ****ing units on a R1000 recharge...their moer man...this is not sustainable...

I bought R50 electricity for a guy at work last week, he got 50 units for that.
Then on FNB there is a Claim Units button of somesorts, cant remember now, I clicked that and he got free units. Called Lifeline or something like that.

Basically he and his wife are spending R50 a month on electricity, even now in winter when they put the heater on for a few hrs here and there when needed.

So indigent pay R1 per kwh? + the free lifeline units?

It could be with the levy.

My 1st R600 this morning was something like R4.50 per unit, as the levy was included in that purchase and I got less actual power.

About a 30 minutes later, it was about R2.70 per unit as the levy was paid already
