Herschelle Gibbs - An ODI talent wasted?

Yup for me gibbs has lived up to his talent, he either scores big or he goes home, exactly what you want in a batsmen that is trying to get the run rate going.

Do you guys want gibbs to be more like kallis in one dayers and gets his 50 not out off 90 delives and destroy our run rate 9 out 10 games? I think not i would rather gibbs goes for 10 trying to get runs.

Gibbs could protect his wicket better and still make big scores if he had applied concentration a bit more. KP is someone who is able to be exciting but yet still manage to keep his wicket for instance.

Yes I know they have vastly different styles, but i was using the point that you don't have to have a weak strike rate to have a high average. Maybe the better comparison would be someone like dhoni.
