Don't know why you're wiping all your posts, but if you're "emptying your drawers", you've missed one here :

Nah. Gotta localize! .... Lonegunman goes Telco ....

Was it something we said? Or is Sentech paying him to disrupt the forums? [;)]

Maybe....just maybe LG has reached the opinion that this forum has now started to become irrelevant. There has always been a difference of opinion on how to confront the likes of Marcel Raath, but when LG finally sees his once vocal online peers, happily accepting gifts of pens, cap's and t-Shirts etc. from Sentech..... and then agreeing to issue a joint statement...(This is what Marcel was after anyway) he throws in the towel??? After all...word has it that Marcel Raath got exactly what he wanted!!!
(Watch the media in the coming days....that's what I've been told)

Sentech has far from destroyed this forum. We'll all get over this little bumb and carry on going. Too much time and effort has gone into making myadsl/mybroadband the powerful usergroup it has turned out to be. No matter what Lonegunman's reasoning is behind him deleting his posts, so be it.

There will always be difference of opinions when a group of people come together, but the whole point is that we must stop this inhouse fighting and concentrate on our objective - and that is obtaining a world class service at world competitive prices. Afterall, we deserve and should settle for nothing less.

Well said VQuest.
And Dean, I don't think one fool editing his 100s of posts is evidence that Sentech has split the forum. More like evidence of one fool editing his 100s of posts [:p]

To the claims that Sentech bought out the Concerned User Group - thats laughable. Maybe Sentech thinks that, but all the CUG guys that went to the meeting have repeated vowed to start up the media war again if Sentech doesn't make good on promises soon.
Instead of posting hearsay, wait until the minutes are published in their entirety before starting rumours ppl.

Don't say you were not forewarned!
The point is that Marcel Raath fully plans to "engineer" that meeting to suit his own goal:
That of restoring the battered reputation of his division within Sentech.
Just wait and see...... I only hope that there is not going to be too much egg on some peoples faces!

there is a possibility of this as always but speaking as someone that was there at the meeting and been involved in discustions after the meeting
it will not be easy to get right ... at the moment we hold them by the balls they are not supplying a good service and have been caught out dooing this by a groop of users with the means to hurt there reputaion where it counts and limit there growth ....

for sentech to put a spin on it is fine and they entitled to do just that but the key to undoing this debacle is for us to stand up and say unequivicoly the system is implemented perfectly and the service is reliable and adequate as advertised .... nothing short of that will improves sentechs position ... to achive this they know what is required ...

in the meantime all they can do is dammage control ...

and yes once the indication is given that sentech is in order they can release the "good news" that the much publised lack of service was due to teething problems and they will have full credibility ... this is what i and probably all of you should want ... but we will not let up until the problems are solved ...

there is a flurry of activity on the go and yes it has been a long time but i dont think i would be lying if i said more has happened in the last week than in the last 4 months as far as a constructive outcome is concerened ...

dbnnet - while I appreciate the possiblity that Marcel Raath may attempt to put a spin on the press release it will backfire rather gloriously if it has not been approved by each individual that attended.

I presonally need to see a LOT before being willing to accept ANY joint press releases. In my opinion all a press release could say at this stage is:

"Sentech met with CUG. CUG told us a lot we apparently didn't know. We admitted we've made a few mistakes. We plan to fix it. We've not given any details or dates on this. We gave each member a pen(that stops working after 2 days), a shirt and a cap."

I may get the evil eye from some of CUG but hey ... that's my opinion.
